With a New Preface by the Author

An inspiration to read
From Rage to Responsibility does what the entire field of American sociology fails to do. It makes the point that traditional values are transformative in themselves and, therefore, the best antidotes to social dysfunction. Peterson knows what the sociologists miss: that black Americans are simply human beings who find themselves, like all human beings, through the structure, struggle, and sacrifice of living by demanding values. This is the story of a man’s return to a wisdom he already had. It is an inspiration to read.”–Shelby Steele, author of the #1 national bestsellers The Content of Our Character and A Dream Deferred; Senior Fellow, The Hoover Institution

Points the way out of our racial dilemma
“From Rage to Responsibility is more than the story of one man’s political odyssey. It chronicles the transformation of the civil rights challenges facing America, and points the way out of our racial dilemma.”–Dinesh D’Souza, author of the #1 national bestsellers Illiberal Education and The End of Racism; Senior Fellow, The American Enterprise Institute

A message well worth passing on
“Our nation abounds with stories of success from all manner of Americans, only recently though, has it become apparent that not all black Americans subscribe to the ideals of the liberal socialist welfare state. From Rage to Responsibility follows in the tradition of black Americans who have mustered the courage to succeed in our nation, which I easily consider to be the best on the planet. From Rage to Responsibility: Conservative Jesse Lee Peterson and America Today, is a message well worth passing on to our future leaders–no matter what color, or who they are.”–Ken Hamblin, author, Pick a Better Country: An Unassuming Colored Guy Speaks His Mind About America; Nationally syndicated columnist and talkradio host

Knows the devastation of Father absence
“Jesse Lee Peterson knows from his own experience how devastating the absence of fathers has been for black children, and in From Rage to Responsibility he boldly points the way to a loving solution.”–Adam Meyerson, Vice-President, The Heritage Foundation

Medicine for racial healing
“With From Rage to Responsibility, Jesse Lee Peterson offers his dynamic antidote to the failed message of the likes of Farrakhan, Jackson, and Sharpton. It is quite simply a must read. This is the medicine necessary to bring about true racial healing in America, and to lift up those who’ve been left behind.”–Sean Hannity, Co-host, “Hannity and Colmes,” Fox News Network Host, WABC Radio, New York City

“My husband, Chuck, and I have had the good fortune of being friends and working associates of Jesse Lee Peterson for many years. Every American may now share in that good fortune through the pages of From Rage to Responsibility. Jesse often kids us that he had “a minute of college” when, indeed, he has had “a life of learning.” Sharing that life through the pages of this book, you, too, will become a friend and working associate of Jesse Lee Peterson.”–Ezola Foster, author, What’s Right for all Americans! Director, Americans for Family Values

Insightful critique of ideology destroying America
From Rage to Responsibility is a powerful and insightful critique of the ideology steadily destroying the American social fabric. From schoolteachers to politicians to parents and pastors, everyone should listen to the important lessons Jesse Lee Peterson and Brad Stetson present.”– Muazzam Gill, The National Educator newspaper

No-holds-barred analysis of contemporary liberalism
From Rage to Responsibility: Black Conservative Jesse Lee Peterson and America Today by Jesse Lee Peterson with Brad Stetson is a no-holds-barred analysis of contemporary liberalism and the havoc it is wrecking in American culture. From race, to abortion, to feminism, to immigration, to education, the ideas and public policies produced by the Left are collectivist and demagogic, hindering self-government and damaging lives, say Peterson and Stetson.

Advocates self-responsibility and moral renewal
Through the prism of Jesse Lee Peterson’s fascinating life experience and his history of grassroots community work on the streets of riot-torn south-central Los Angeles, Peterson and Stetson examine the violations of common sense and sound thinking that the current civil rights establishment constantly perpetrates against the American public. Peterson and Stetson point the way out of the statist mentality overtaking our public life, advocating a new culture of self-responsibility and moral renewal able to resuscitate the sagging spirits of an American public accustomed to looking everywhere but within for the solutions to their personal and political problems.
